We're at Oklahoma SUMMIT Today — Come Say Hi

Good morning, Oklahoma. If you are reading this from a session at SUMMIT, we are about a hundred feet away.

Today is our first time exhibiting at Oklahoma ACTE’s SUMMIT conference, and honestly, it is the one event on our calendar that feels like home. StayPut exists because an Oklahoma CTE teacher — Kyla, first-year DECA advisor — dreaded the overnight part of competition trips, and her engineer husband decided to fix it. A room full of Oklahoma’s CTE teachers is not a market segment for us. It is the people we built this for.

What is at the booth

A live demo, on a real door. We brought a door, a sensor, and the LTE hub. Open the door after “curfew” and watch the alert land on a phone in about two seconds — push, text, and email. No hotel Wi-Fi involved, because the hub does not need it. The whole setup takes about the same amount of time as finding the blue painter’s tape in your trip bag.

A $250 Amazon gift card giveaway. Entry takes thirty seconds: name, email, school, and what you teach. Follow @stayputsecurity on Instagram for a bonus entry. We will draw the winner this week and announce it on our socials. (One entry per person, no purchase necessary, not affiliated with Instagram, Meta, or OK ACTE.)

Us. Garrett and Kyla, all day. If you are a first-year advisor staring down your first competition season, Kyla has been exactly where you are — come ask her anything, no sales pitch required. We published a guide for first-time CTE advisors last week if you want the written version.

Where to find us

We are in the expo hall — look for the door with a sensor on it and the two people who look excited that you stopped. If you cannot find us, DM @stayputsecurity and we will wave you over.

Not at SUMMIT?

The demo travels badly over the internet, but the next best thing:

To every teacher who stops by today: thank you for what you do, and for letting us be a small part of making trip nights easier. Sleep easy — we’ll watch the doors.
