Getting Started
Once you have your hardware, you can create a trip, add rooms, assign
students, set curfews, and pair sensors in minutes using the StayPut
dashboard. Installation at the hotel takes just a few minutes per door.
No. The sensors attach with adhesive and the gateway hub just needs to be
plugged into a standard outlet. Everything else is managed from the web
dashboard — no technical setup required.
Yes. You can invite fellow teachers and staff to your trip. They'll receive
alerts for the rooms they're responsible for without needing to share any
credentials.
Hardware
We include removable adhesive designed for clean removal. We also ship
unlimited replacement strips so you can refresh after each trip.
Coverage varies by building, but a single hub typically covers a hotel floor.
You can add hubs for larger layouts.
Door sensor batteries last around five years under normal use. Battery status
is visible in the dashboard so you always know when a replacement is needed.
No. The sensors talk to the hub and the hub sends alerts over LTE that works
worldwide. No hotel Wi-Fi passwords or network access needed.
By default, our door sensors are certified for North America. For other
regions, we can provide country/region-approved variants on request. We don't
keep these in stock, so lead times and pricing may vary.
Monitoring & Alerts
When a door opens during your curfew window, StayPut sends instant push
notifications, email, and SMS to the designated chaperones.
Escalation continues until someone acknowledges the alert.
Yes. You set custom curfew start and end times for each room or for the
entire trip. Alerts only trigger during the curfew window you define.
Yes. The dashboard keeps a complete record of door activity and alert history
for every trip. This is useful for documentation and reporting.
Billing
We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as physical checks and purchase orders.
Monitoring is billed per room, per night. You are only charged for the nights
when monitoring is active on a trip you've created. Hardware is a separate
one-time purchase.
